FGS 2017 Conference
Conference time has come around again. I’m just one of thousands of genealogist and family researchers who attend this conference. I’ve always enjoyed attending this conferences for many reasons. If you are still considering attending the conference or you’re hearing about it for the first time I encourage you click below.
Many topics covered by a large number of speakers. This year they have 70+ speakers and many are presenting on multiple topics. You will have the opportunity to learn more about preserving records, reading your DNA results, plantation records and Catholic records. That is a small glimpse into the topics presented. There are 22 different areas presenters will be speaking on. Within those different areas there are around 166 different presentations to pick from, there is something for everyone. Don’t worry if you’re beginning to research your ancestors or more advanced there are plenty of presentations to pick from.
On Thursday, the exhibitors hall opens their doors. You will find 87 exhibitors sharing information and selling products. They even have learning centers, you will learn something new. This is a must stop visit while there. Don’t worry if your schedule is full on Thursday they are open Friday and Saturday.
The advanced registration closes on Monday the 21st of August so you still have time to register on-line. The Omni William Penn Hotel still has rooms available. In addition to everything I mentioned above this is a great opportunity to do some networking. While also making some new friends, meet some like minds and even a few old friends. This is also part of my business plan so yes this is a great business decision.
